June and Aubrey are professional guides with extensive experience organising and guiding walking groups in this country and abroad. They founded Country Walks in 1995. Both are experienced, qualified lecturers.
June has a background in adult education and for many years has been a British Museum guide. Aubrey has a literary background and a passionate interest in poetry and the history of the countryside and loves sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with others.
Walking in the countryside has been June and Aubrey’s shared passion for many years. They have introduced the pleasures and benefits of walking in the countryside to thousands of people during the past fifteen years.
In 2007 they discovered Nordic Walking, studied the techniques and trained with the International Nordic Walking Association to become fully qualified instructors. During the past 3 years they have introduced hundreds of people to the benefits of Nordic Walking.
