Practice Walks in Hyde Park & Richmond: only £5
1-hour Nordic Practice Walks in Hyde Park or Richmond on the dates below (cost £5), meeting under the Wellington Arch for Hyde Park or outside Richmond Station for Richmond. It is essential that you have attended at least a Level 1 class or can apply basic Nordic Walking techniques. You will also need your own poles or let us know your height in avance if you wish to hire some (£2). There is no need to book, just come along and we will be there whatever the weather!

After 2 hours you will be familiar with basic Nordic walking technique to improve your health. You will need to consolidate your new skills with further practice and tuition to gain maximum benefit. You may then wish to progress to Level 2 (Nordic Walking for fitness and weight loss) after which further practice will be necessary if you wish to derive full benefit from Nordic Walking. Directions: Meet under the large central arch in the centre of Hyde Park Corner, near Hyde Park Corner tube, Piccadilly Line, or just over 0.5 miles from Victoria Station (10-15 mins walk) or approx 7 mins by bus 148 from Stop G, or Bus 436, 82 or 36 from Stop H
Richmond Park:
Meeting at Pembroke Lodge car park by the refreshment kiosk, approx 1.5 miles from Richmond Station - for directions, see below.

Directions by car From the A316 follow Manor Road until it becomes Queens Road. Continue to the end of Queens Road and turn left and left again through Richmond Gate. Once through the gate, turn right and the carpark will be found approximately .5 mile on the right. Please be aware that this carpark gets very full at weekends so it would be wise to allow extra time for parking.
Directions by train or tube Outside the station take Bus No 371 destined for Kingston which runs every 8-10 minutes and alight at Stafford Place or the American University at the top of Queens Road. Journey time about 10 minutes. Walk for 2 minutes following the direction of the bus and turn left into Richmond Gate. Once inside the gate, turn right and follow the road for about 10 minutes to Pembroke Lodge carpark. There is a taxi rank outside Richmond Station.
